The Project is aimed to reduce poverty and thus improve the socio-economic status of the identified communities in selected ARCs and ARC clusters. Specifically, the Project aims to increase the income of the ARBs and other farmers in the Project areas and to contribute to improved quality of life in the ARCs in a sustainable manner. The Project is expected to achieve the following outcomes: (i) improved access to livelihood assets by the rural poor including the landless farm workers; (ii) developed sustainable livelihoods, agribusinesses and long lasting improvements in the well-being of the poor and marginalized groups in the target communities.
       
 
 
Components
  • Community-Driven Development (CDD) -shall include community development, organizational development and good governance
  • Rural Infrastructure (RI) - shall provide/enhance rural access, small-scale irrigation, post production facilities, and social facilities
  • Agriculture and Enterprise Development (AED) - shall involve interventions for land tenure improvement (social preparation for the stabilization of titles), rural finance (access to production, agribusiness and micro-finance loans), technical support to crops, livestock and fisheries production and management and enterprise and marketing development.
